Really, you can't go wrong with any type of gel and hairspray, as long as you pick one that doesn't harden hair too much. If you pick one that hardens hair too much, then you'll need to use more shampoo to get out the build up and thus dry out ends, or the build up will sit there and you won't be able to get moisture into hair, so it will get progressively drier.

Herbal Essences makes a really nice spray gel, and V05's RealClean red styler gel is good if you don't like spray gels. And the Garnier line makes nice hairsprays.
