Gurl do not use grease. That's gross and you will look like a greasy mess. Get smoothing balm. John Frieda works really well I use Brilliant Brunette.

It helps condition your hair and keep it healthy, as far as gels and spray try Aussie products or Pantene they are the very best and have all kinds of different types for different kinds of hair and styles. You can get any of these products at drug stores or Walmart or Target type stores.

Herbal Essences makes a really nice spray gel, and V05's RealClean red styler gel is good if you don't like spray gels. And the Garnier line makes nice hairsprays.

You can buy a wax balm at most hair salons that will help you with spiking your hair. You can also use a curling iron. When you curl your hair instead of curling under like you were always taught, curl it outward. This will give it a flipped out look! Good luck!
I used egg whites back in the day. They harden and work really well with out smelling. I know people that use regular Elmer's Glue, but there is also "hair glue."
You definitely need gel, and hairspray. Biosilk Finishing Spray (Silver Can) is a really good firm spray. You might need some hair wax too, although don't use too much, it will make it look greasy.
Oh, I have the answer for you. I went to high school in the 80's, and we are famous for the stiff, teased out hair. I still use these methods today. ( although I do not tease, I still like some volume and heighth in my hair ). First, you need to apply a product before you blow dry, such as Loreal Grab. this will allow movement with a brush, and not be too stiff. Stay away from spiking gels, and creams, your hair will harden quick and you will not be able to style it. Use a round brush while blowdrying, and do as much as you can upside down. This is important because you have length on your hair. You will need to use a cheap hairspray, such as white rain extra hold, or rave mega hold. As you are styling you want to spray and blowdry. The blowdryer will harden the hairspray quicker. If you want more heighth spray upside down, blowdry, flip up, then start combing into place, spray again, blowdry. When you have it where you want give it a final spray. Good luck!

you could curl peoples hair, then get them to go outside for 10 mins, then lie down for 10, then walk around normally for 10. you could see after each one how curly out of 10 they were.
They fall beause you apply pressure (heat) to them which makes them stay. when the pressure has left (theyve cooled) they are going to fall... gradually.
of course wind, messing them up, etc helps also as you are breaking the mould.

in your bathroom or possibly a salon. some products just make things stickier.
Mix one part vinegar to two parts water. Put on thickly and let stand for at least half an hour. Wipe up with a cloth soaked in water and vinegar. Give a final cleaning with hot soapy water.
I have also found that Pledge does a good job if you spray it on and let it set about 10 minutes. Don't use on painted surfaces, however.

Depending upon where your office is, would be a clue as to what it could be. Windex works great or use an ammonia cleaner, such as Top Job or Mr. Clean.
A cloth with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover should work, just be sure it is glass, not plastic.
WD 40 or Mineral Spirits - sold at home improvement stores. Also, Acetone (as in nail polish remover) or plain old alcohol.
I've heard that grease lightning works really well at getting hair spray off of bathroom fixtures.
Dab alcohol on a terry cloth towel and wipe off.
Acetone.
It will attack the Silica bonds on the surface of the glass and dissolve the organics attatched to them.
Just dont use too much!
a brand new single edge razor will scrape it right off- then just use some rubbing alcohol and paper towel to clean up the debris

I use Joico Silk Result Spray.
You spray it on your dry hair just before straightening or curling and it protects and smoothes.
I only spray it on my top layer of hair since it gets the most heat. But, when you straighten your hair, do it in layers, (putting it in a ponytail and putting some down straightening, putting down...)and spray as you go.
I put heat on my hair almost everyday for school either straightening or curling and my hair isn't damaged AT ALL.
it works wonders and is about 12 dollars. It lasts you quite awhile.

I use got 2 be gels *they are cheap but really good.* and for hair spray i like aussie or i also use Brit Style by Grahm Webb. it isn't that cheap but it works really well and makes your hair feel extremely soft. i know not the kind of answer you were looking for... but if you are a guy you could use either. i mean if you are a girl too, but gel works better for a guy.
Gel. But you can use either one it doesn't matter.
Get the best of both worlds. Get gel spray. It spritz on nice and doesnt have the uneven clumpyness in some spots and the frizz in others. The gel spray is the best choice!

DON'T plug it in and run it under the water. And DON'T take it in the bathtub with you.
Non-acetone nail polish remover
it usually dries and becomes brittle over time from the heat of the curling iron. while it is cold, get a sharp object such as a knife and scrape off the dried hairspray.
Go to Sally's Beauty Supply and pick up a vat of curling iron muck remover. The stuff works!
Try Alcohol or either white vinegar and a soft toothbrush.
a scotch brite pad and a little water, just dont immerse.
I always found it gross to see hairspray cooked on a curling iron, not to mention unsanitary. Why not spray it on AFTER you curl?
Acetone (nail polish remover) or alcohol should work but make sure the curling iron is cold first.
Rubbing alcohol. And be CAREFUL! Make sure it's unplugged!
Once the curling iron has been unplugged and is cool you can clean off your iron with a damp rag.
If you can閳ユ獩 quite get it all, or it is being stubborn, grab a bottle of rubbing alcohol and dab some on your rag.
This should clean the rest of the hairspray off without much effort.
I actually use alcohol on a cotton ball. It works in seconds and it evaporates so no residue is left on your iron.
depends on if it's Teflon ceramic or chrome.....is it's Teflon warm a wet wash cloth in the microwave and then wrap it around the barrels until the gunk softens enough to rub off.....ceramic or chrome/gold...use a fine steel wool pad with no soap added or a metal scrubby.............works great ....oh yeah make sure your irons are off when you do this.....

it usually dries and becomes brittle over time from the heat of the curling iron. while it is cold, get a sharp object such as a knife and scrape off the dried hairspray.
Go to Sally's Beauty Supply and pick up a vat of curling iron muck remover. The stuff works!

I actually use alcohol on a cotton ball. It works in seconds and it evaporates so no residue is left on your iron.
depends on if it's Teflon ceramic or chrome.....is it's Teflon warm a wet wash cloth in the microwave and then wrap it around the barrels until the gunk softens enough to rub off.....ceramic or chrome/gold...use a fine steel wool pad with no soap added or a metal scrubby.............works great ....oh yeah make sure your irons are off when you do this.....

probably not..it wouldn't stay in, but a bleach pen would work if you're trying to fix a stain
..if you're trying to add colors, spray paint would work better than colored hair spray, but try fabric pens/paint instead (you can buy it at your local craft/ art stores)

Unless its permanent, it would wash out. You can, however, use spraypaint or clothing dye in a spray bottle.
Depending on the effect you are going for it will work temporarily, but not permanently. Might rub off on other items as well. An airbrush with fabric paint might be the way to go. Perhaps there are some local artists that would help you do it for little money if you do your own art? Maybe they have a community center nearby, or a theatrical scene shop or costume shop or crafts store that might be willing to help you. Good luck! If you'd like solid streaks, tie die may be another way to go. For temporary art on the T (that might also become slightly permanent) the hair spray would work in my opinion.
You could for that "almost" airbrush look or you could buy the spray on color made for T shirts from a craft shop

I have flown international flights were I have brought hairspray and several bottles of perfume/lcolongnes for gifts and have never exploded. Make sure to put anything that contains liquid inside a plastic grocery bag just in case you think it may pop open or something.

Depends on what kind of hold you want. Matrix carries a hairspray in its 'Sleek' line that resists humidity, but the hold is more of a light to medium meaning you can restyle your hair easily and your hair isn't crunchy. LOL. Want a really strong holding spray and don't mind the crunch, try Matrix 'Trix'. See link below.

hair spray would be fine for controling the frizzies, but to help for them you really do nee to pick up some hair wax. HOWEVER, be sure there is no petrolium in the wax. Petrolium is a lubricant that will make each strand of hair smooth, and prevent it from locing up.
Another drawback to hairspray is that once it dries, it'll build up a layer on your hair, not a big deal, nothing a quick vinager rinse can't cure, but it'll make your hair look like you have dust/dandruff in it, and no one wants that.

You're much better off creating box lanterns out of coat hangers and black tissue paper; people will admire your Blue Peter-esque skills, and you will get the dark light you wanted without setting fire to your home, or making it smell like a cheap hair salon.
