I really need you guys to help me! I lightened my hair with sun in hair spray?

Well i put in the spray and it turned my hair a brassy/orange colour and i hate it. The roots are showing and i dont want to put more of the spray in. My natural hair colour is a really light brown and i want it back!! I have no idea what to do please help me? Could i cover over it with a chocolate brown hair dye ,and if i went to a salon would they be able to dye it really close to my natural colour so that when my hair grows you cant tell the difference between natural and dyed?

You'll have to wait awhile after damaging your hair - a few weeks maybe. So, wear a hat and call your new do "personality." Then I'd go to a hair stylist and they'll probably be better able to tell you what needs to be done. It might be something along the lines of bleaching and redying. But, under no circumstances, would I add more drug store crap type hair color or dye or whatever onto what's already been done. Believe me, it'll just make it far, far worse.

i've heard you shouldn't dye over sun in spray, i think it says so on the bottle. i wouldn't try to fix it at home. i ended up with the reddish blonde color too, but i decided i liked red and dyed it to red anyway. but, my hair didn't fall out. so if you want to try it, you can, but i would suggest going to a pro if you want to go back natural. it's very very very hard to cover red hair up!

You'll have to go to a salon and have them fix it, you dont want to try fixing it yourself you may make it worse than it already is.

The orange covers easy and you could always use a purple colored shampoo to cover up the brassy for now. If the salon matches your natrual hair color it will match your roots.

The only way it wouldnt if you had actual bleach in your hair and it was actually blonde, then it would asorb the hair dye over time and show roots. If you do ask the salon to put a filler in your befor they dye it.

you can dye it yourself with a semi-permanent hair dye, since you already dyed you hair this will stay in longer than more washes than the box says, my hair actually stayed the semi-permanent a few shades after the washes so it was kinda permanent, I heard that if you go to a salon they can strip the dye chemicals from your hair, but that's what I heard. so proceed at your own risk. but i have used the semi-dye and it works well, you can hide your brassy color for a few weeks or washes with the semi-permanent and it could possibly stay in but if it does stay in it'll be a few shades lighter than the first time you dyed it.

you could try light ash brown.But do not go black or darker than your natural hair.This will cause your hair to stay darker.The best way is to go to the hair dresser.I hope this helps as i'm one of the ones that dyed my hair black to cover red and now i can't go back to my own colour.Your welcome,i hope this helps.
