I will say I have used almost all types, salon goodies too. To be honest, the best hairspray I have found is the 1.99 bottle at Wal-mart. "RAVE" - Mega Hold. It is perfect, cheap and works exactly as it should!!! : )

I really like the green bottom by taft it doesnt make it feel very sticky. It gets all sticky if you spray too close so arm distance is great!

I like Dove Hairspray, it is relatively inexpensive at about 4.99 a can and some of the more gentle of the bunch...you can get it at any drug or dept store...

it does not make hair sticky and gives good hold...

apply after achieving your desired style by holding can about 15-20 cms away from the head and spraying the style...

be sure to close your eyes and cover them with your hand so you don't get it in your eyes...

hairspray can damage the hair, like any styling product can, if you use too much of it over a long period of time...the alcohol in it is drying to the hair...especially in relation to other styling products and tools...

Using hairspray in moderation will not harm your hair...

I always by Paul Mitchelle I get it at my salon. I dontuse hairspray much but it doesnt damage the hair. All you have to do is keep it about 5-7 inches from hair and spray lightly.
